PSA Exhibitions, formerly called Salons, offer an opportunity for photographers to exhibit their work with other photographers from around the world. Images that are accepted into PSA exhibitions can be used cumulatively by exhibitors to earn PSA Star Ratings and ultimately PSA ROPA Distinctions that indicate levels of accomplishment by the exhibitor.

PSA Consultants are available to help members with exhibitions, star ratings, honors and distinctions. Member must be signed in to their account to request the assistance of a PSA Consultant.

Exhibition Services oversees the Exhibition Recognition Department which is responsible for processing PSA Recognition applications for exhibitions.

Applications must be submitted using the PSA Exhibition Recognition System (PSA ERS), details of which can be found found here

Once an intended exhibition has opened an account in PSAERS, and submitted an application, it will be assigned to an Exhibition Recognition Director (ERD), formerly known as Reviewer or RESD.

All communications between the Chair of the intended exhibition and the ERD must take place within the PSAERS. For that reason, email addresses of the ERDs are not available on this page.

There are six Divisions in the PSA - 3D (3DD), Nature (ND), Projected Image (PID), Photojournalism (PJD), Pictorial Print (PPD) and Photo Travel (PTD). Some of these Divisions have Divisional ESDs.  The Divisional ESDs have no part in the recognition process. Their role is to monitor standards, give advice, and encourage exhibitions to offer sections in exhibitions which comply with the rules of their divisions.

Three divisions (ND, PJD and PTD) could be described as "reality divisions".  These divisions have clear sets of rules - definitions - which entrants and exhibitions are obliged to obey. These definitions can be found here. Chairs of Exhibitions should consult these definitions, and advice to judges that can be found there.

After an exhibition the DESDs will look at catalogs and on-line galleries to check that exhibitions are conforming with the standards laid down. If there are found to be serious breaches of the rules, then the DESDs may set in motion investigations which may lead to denial of future recognition either of particular sections, or of the exhibition as a whole. The DESDs may be contacted for advice.
