Entering an Exhibition
PSA “recognized” Exhibitions are organized by photographic clubs, businesses, and other organizations around the world that may be independent of PSA or may be members of PSA or other worldwide photographic organizations. They establish
websites that provide all the detailed requirements and entry processes for entering the exhibitions, and manage the judging and operations of the exhibitions. These requirements have been approved in advance by PSA.
LEARN MOREHosting an Exhibition
Any organization can host a PSA exhibition. To do so it must follow an online application process and agree to adhere to a strict set of exhibition standards governing everything from entry requirements to judging to post-operations
and more. Allow at least 6 months before the planned closing date to start the process. The application for PSA Recognition must be filed at least 90 days before the closing date.
LEARN MOREDivisions and Categories
PSA manages its exhibitions functions across its six divisions: Pictorial Image (PID), Nature, Photo Travel, Photojournalism, Pictorial Print, and 3D. Each division may be divided into different categories according to: media such
as digital or print; type such as color or monochrome; or size such as large or small. Divisions may also operate several themes (sections) within each category such as “Winter Sports” or “Human Interest."
Exhibitions Lists
PSA maintains on this website a Calendar of all exhibitions that are open for entries that are “recognized" by PSA. Each entry includes the most important information an entrant needs to decide whether they are interested in entering
and a link to the exhibition website where they can find more information and how to enter. We also maintain lists of closed exhibitions from recent years for member reference.
LEARN MOREAcceptances and Star Ratings
Images that are accepted into PSA Exhibitions are collected into a PSA database. The process can take weeks to several months after the exhibition has closed. These accepted images are eligible to be used by PSA members for conversion
into Star Certificates and in turn into PSA ROPA Distinctions.
LEARN MOREWho's Who in Photography
The PSA Who’s Who in Photography for the previous year is a worldwide compilation of photographers who have accumulated the most acceptances in PSA exhibitions worldwide, according to defined criteria. The results are published annually
and sent with the PSA Journal.

Ethical Practices
Each person participating in activities of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) or activities recognized by PSA is expected to act in accordance with all PSA policies. The full expectations relating to ethical behavior are described
on the Ethical Practices page, including a helpful video.
Exhibition Image of the Year
Winners of PSA Gold Medals or Best of Show Medals in the various categories/themes/sections of PSA Exhibitions may submit their winning images for consideration for Image of the Year awards according to the rules of the different Divisions
to which the Category belongs.
